It exhibits dual roles in angiogenesis - supporting vascular repair while inhibiting tumor angiogenesis. As a tumor suppressor, IGFBP7 induces apoptosis and growth arrest in cancers through both IGF-dependent and independent mechanisms.

Emerging research reveals its roles in metabolic regulation (affecting insulin secretion) and immune modulation (via CD93 interaction). Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.
