Recombinant Human Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor 121 (rHuVEGF121) is a disulfide-linked homodimeric protein produced in yeast, with each subunit consisting of 121 amino acids. As a diffusible isoform lacking heparin-binding domains, it exhibits high mobility in the extracellular matrix and circulates more freely than longer VEGF isoforms (e.g., VEGF165). The protein stimulates angiogenesis and vasculogenesis by activating VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2 receptors, promoting endothelial cell proliferation, migration, and vascular permeability. This variant shares 88% amino acid identity with mouse and rat VEGF, and 93%–96% with porcine, canine, bovine, feline, and equine homologs, highlighting evolutionary conservation.

Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.
