Recombinant Human Neutrophil Activating Protein-2/CXCL7

CXCL7, also known as Neutrophil Activating Protein-2 (NAP-2), is an isoform of Beta-Thromboglobulin (β-TG) or Pro-Platelet Basic Protein (PPBP). As a member of the CXC chemokine family, CXCL7 is abundantly released from activated platelets and plays a crucial role in inflammatory and immune responses.

CXCL7 exhibits diverse biological activities, including:

- Stimulation of DNA synthesis, mitosis, and glycolysis in target cells.

- Induction of intracellular cAMP accumulation and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) secretion.

- Promotion of hyaluronic acid and sulfated glycosaminoglycan synthesis, contributing to extracellular matrix remodeling.

- Enhancement of plasminogen activator production and secretion by human synovial cells, implicating its role in tissue repair and fibrinolysis.

Recombinant human CXCL7 is a 70-amino acid, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain. It shares significant sequence homology with murine orthologs, displaying 53% and 58% amino acid identity with mouse and rat CXCL7, respectively.

Due to its potent chemotactic and pro-inflammatory properties, CXCL7 is a key mediator in wound healing, thrombosis, and inflammatory diseases, making it a subject of interest in biomedical research.

Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.
