 Recombinant Human Interleukin-16

IL-16 (also called lymphocyte chemoattractant factor) is a CD8+ T cell-derived cytokine that induces chemotaxis of CD4+ T cells, CD4+ monocytes, and eosinophils. it has three isoforms which are cleaved from pre-Interleukin-16. It has many functions including induction of the IL-2Rα on T cells, suppression of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) replication, inhibition of T-cell antigen receptor/CD3 mediated T-cell stimulation in mixed lymphocyte reactions and so on. Furthermore, recombinant human IL-16 (130a.a.) shares 85%a.a. sequence identity with murine IL-16, Human and murine IL-16 shows significant cross-species reactivity. Recombinant Human IL-16 is a 13.4kDa globular protein containing 130 amino acid.

Before use this product, please read the direction below carefully. This vial must be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in a sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1% BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at ≤ -20℃. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.
