Recombinant Human Eotaxin-2, also known as CCL24, is a small, non-glycosylated cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family, primarily expressed in activated monocytes and T lymphocytes. It is produced via E. coli expression systems and is widely used in research settings to study immune cell dynamics.

Functionally, CCL24 serves as a potent chemoattractant, selectively recruiting cells that express the CCR3 receptor—most notably eosinophils, basophils, and Th2 T lymphocytes—to sites of inflammation. This chemotactic activity makes it a valuable tool for investigating allergic responses, asthma pathogenesis, and other eosinophil-associated disorders. Additionally, it has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cells, indicating a role in regulating blood cell development.

Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.
