Sirius is a novel fluorescent protein with the following characteristics:

Structure: Composed of around 230 amino acids, Sirius is a small protein featuring an 11-stranded β-barrel structure in its backbone, which shields chromophores from environmental hazards like halides, hydronium ions and reactive oxygen species.

Emission peak: At 424 nm, it has one of the shortest emission wavelengths among fluorescent proteins.

pH stability: Stable between pH 3–9, making it suitable for imaging in acidic conditions.

Applications: It can detect intracellular calcium changes, image bacteria, and monitor protein structural changes. Also, it is used in dual FRET to simultaneously track calcium dynamics and protein interactions.

Before use this product, please read the direction below carefully. This vial must be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in a sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1% BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at ≤ -20℃. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.

For long term storage, the product should be stored ≤ -20℃.
